Meet Chuchusi Chusi

Chuchusi Chusi was born in Garlemald in the year 1560 of the Sixth Astral Era, to Costard van Nusi and Chuchari Chari, a half-Garlean with a third-eye. Because of the circumstances of her birth (her mother was a volunteer for experimentation), her father fled the country in search of refuge in Eorzea, so that his daughter would not suffer the same horrific circumstances his wife was in. After crossing the peaks of Gyr Abania, they had safe passage through Baelsar's Wall thanks to his military status; and arrived in Gridania, where Costard ordered an airship ride to Ul'dah in search of a job.After much pleading and searching, the two settled at Camp Drybone, her father a captain in the Immortal Flames, tasked with keeping the people safe from Ifrit's influence. During this time, Chuchusi made little friends because of not only her third eye, but her Ala Mhigan heritage, and hence often sat at the Church of St. Adama to listen to sermons given by Father Iliud in place of anything her father taught her. Her family life was dreadful; her father had spiraled into a deep depression after hearing of Ala Mhigo's fall , and had turned to alcohol to cope. Believing his daughter was the reason for his misery, he took it out on her, leaving Chuchusi to gain a perfectionist complex: if she could do this one thing right, her father would not treat her so bad.When the Calamity fell, her father lost all will to go on. Taking Chuchusi in the dead of night, they fled to Little Ala Mhigo, where he chained her to the rocks and deemed her a mistake, before jumping to his death. As the starshower erupted above, Chuchusi heard Hydelayn's voice and was granted the blessing of the Echo, letting her be rid of the chains as a meteor struck the settlement, though she unfortunately got caught in the rubble. The following day, Isembard led a team of Brass Blades to investigate, and they found Chuchusi holed up between two large boulders, adorned with large scratches but none fatal. After healing her wounds, they returned to Camp Drybone.Because Chuchusi was on her own, she cursed her fate as a result of the Twelve, swearing to prove them wrong by living a life most dangerously. The only patron she accepted was Oschon, the Traveler, as she recognized their common situations in being vagrants. She took on odd jobs in Camp Drybone, slept outside the church in the graveyard, and saved up enough money to move to Ul'dah and make a living as a pugilist-gladiator. Isembard and Father Iliud made sure she lived to see the sun rise another day, though she did not admit their roles in her life until much later. At the cusp of 17 summers old, Chuchusi caught wind of a travelling peddler making for Ul'dah, and snuck onto the carriage in the middle of the night. When she awoke the next morning, she was surrounded by Brendt, and two enigmatic twins, making for the Jewel in the Desert. It was there that her story began...

Meet Mement'o Mori

Mement'o Mori, originally known as Rav'a Haringe, was originally from the Thirteenth, a world lost to the void. On that star, they served as a faithful healer to a church, curing the wounded and ill. As Darkness swallowed them whole, Rav'a attempted an experiment to save their people: opening a portal using necromancy to transport them elsewhere. This ended in failure due to not only the taboo on necromancy, but a lack of aether to meet the required amount to sustain a portal, and so he was sucked in just as the world collapsed.In present day Eorzea, a few years after the Calamity had struck, the Coco siblings of the Thaumaturge's guild attempted an experiment to open a portal so that they may return voidsent to where they belonged. Rather than sending them back, they received a barely conscious Rav'a, his body ravaged from their time in the void. The siblings restored him to help thanks to their collaboration with the Alchemist's Guild, and interrogated him of his upbringing. Rav'a explains where he came from and what he did, but cannot remember his own name. Cocobuki, sensing great potential in him, decides to make him an apprentice of the guild, and bestowed upon him the name Mement'o Mori, meaning "remember death" because of his miraculous survival. It was there he learned the art of black magic and became a skilled black mage. While he is no Warrior of Light, he constantly travels the realm to aid others, and deliver punishment when necessary. He is also a member of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, acting as their Ul'dahn ambassdor. He and Chuchusi have met a few times, though they are no more than acquaintances. Above all, he cherishes the Coco siblings as family, and wants nothing more than to see their happiness.When Unulkahai reveals who he is on the cusp of defeating the Warring Triad, Mement'o finds some solace knowing he was not the only survivor from the Thirteenth, and did his best to keep contact with the young Scion during the events of Stormblood and Shadowbringers. When faced with the choice to go to the First to meet Cylva, Mement'o declined so he could take care of his siblings, but asked that Unulkahai send his regards and promised to make a difference from the Source.During Endwalker, Mement'o joins the fray as part of the Ilsabard contingent making for Garlemald. When Chuchusi prepares to journey to the moon, Mement'o steps in to offer assistance; they are familiar with the moon's layout thanks to Cylva and Unu's reports. It is then Mement'o and Chuchusi's friendship blooms; through fighting Zodiark, witnessing the Final Days in Thavnair, traversing the Aitiascope, and being the final two to walk among the debris of Ultima Thule, their bond grows beyond acquaintances, to friends, to a startling recognition: Mement'o is Azem's 13th shard. At the end of the tale, Mement'o was last seen departing Ul'dah, but their location is unknown.
